Can I list my car and drive my sons friend to his school formal?
In short…yes. There are different state laws, restrictions and insurance requirements for certain events you will be using your car for. If you plan to use your vehicle for regular paid transport work, you will need a Driver Authorisation, please contact your state transport authority to ensure you have the correct licensing & required insurance before you drive anyone to an event.
Do I have to change my insurance cover of my car?
We recommend all car owners contact their insurance company to ensure they are covered for the activity or usage of their vehicle for any special events or transportation.
Do I need an ABN for payment?
Please contact your accountant for advice on how best to set up your business to ensure you adhere to ATO guild lines.
How does the listing process work?
Listing your car is completely FREE.
Create an account, verify your email, list your car/s, start getting enquiries. Choose a “Featured Listing” for your region to get even more exposure.
What is a Featured Listing & how does it work?
Give your car the spotlight it deserves. When you upgrade to a Featured Listing, your ride jumps to the absolute top of the search results for your region.
Why upgrade? Featured cars pull in 37% more enquiries than basic listings. Because we want you to actually stand out, we cap it at only 6 featured spots per region. Once they’re gone, they’re gone!

I added my listing and details but I cannot see it on the website
All listings that are added to the Kool Car Hire directory are manually checked before being approved and listed.
This is to ensure the listing details do not breach the directories listing requirements, as well as ensuring the listing has the best chance of being found in the search engines.
Please allow 48 for approval, listing approvals are completed Mon-Fri. Once approved, you will receive an email with a links to your listing, as well as Facebook & Instagram showing off your ride to our followers.
If I list my car, will it have to be used for transport?
No, listing your prized possession allows you to pick and chose what you are willing to have you car used for.
If you are NOT interested in transporting, you can list your car for photo shoots, private events and movie set backgrounds.
This will require you to drive your car to the event, and then drive it home when it’s finished with. What better way to make some extra cash for your prized possession.
And, there is nothing better than having bragging rights about your car being featured in a movie or film clip!
Is there a minimum time for a booking?
Yes, all vehicles are a minimum 2 hours per job – this covers preparation and traveling time to and from event” Of course should you wish to negotiate with our client regards the total hours, this is at your discretion.
My car is on club registration, what are the restrictions of use?
Club rego restrictions differ from state to state, we suggest you refer to your club for more information, alternatively read your state transport guidelines:
What is the cost per hour to hire a car and driver?
We suggest starting from $250 per hour and 2 hours minimum hire. It will depend on the type of vehicle, passenger capacity and travel requirements.
What licence requirements are needed for me to use my car for transport?
It is the car owners responsibility to ensure they adhere to their state laws.
State laws differ, so please contact your State Transport Department for more information.

How you receive your bookings?
When a customer sends a booking request via SMS to car owner, the car owner will only have 24 hours to either ACCEPT or DECLINE before it expires.
Once the customer pays KCH the referral fee $99 via the payment link sent by KCH, the car owner will receive all contact details and booking details via SMS & email so they can then contact the customer to finalise the details of the booking.
The Car owner from this point will be responsible for completion of the booking and obtaining the remaining balance outstanding which is the total job value less the $99 paid already by the customer.
